Volunteer to help Maggie’s
A worthwhile and fun experience which supports Maggie's in helping people affected by cancer
In volunteering for Maggie's you will meet new friends, learn new skills, use existing skills, and be part of the Maggie's team. By donating your time and energy you will be directly helping us to help those facing a life beyond cancer.
There are a number of ways in which you can help support the work of Maggie's:
• Volunteer to help at one of our events
• Organise your own fundraising event
• Help out in one of our Centres or offices
Volunteer to help at one of our events
Without volunteers, our fundraising events simply can’t go ahead. It's not just the people taking part in our events who are helping those affected by cancer - YOU can too!
We hold many different fundraising events during the year and are always looking for volunteers to help us out either as marshals, helping to hand out tea, or being part of the cheering squad.
We ensure that all our event participants really enjoy Maggie's events and feel 100% supported and looked after at all times. Our volunteers are a vital part in making this happen and have important roles to play in the success of our events.
For some events, we ask for a few hours, for others we look for volunteers who can donate weekends. We will pay your travel and accommodation expenses and will keep you fed and happy!

Organise your own fundraising event
We have some great ideas to help you organise your own fundraising event - whether you are sporty or musical, a great cook or fantastic at getting people fundraising together. You can take part in a sponsored event or organise your own, we are here to support you with fundraising materials and advice.
If you are generously asking for donations instead of gifts for a celebration, maybe your birthday or your wedding, we also have invitation cards you can use to let your guests know about the cause.
